Eating acidic foods can cause us short and long term health issues because of the changes we see in the pH values of our body. Some high acidic foods consist of things like pizza, bread, caffeinated drinks and alcohol. Some of the side effects of acidic foods include lower bone density, acid reflux, kidney stones and chronic pain. We can substitute much healthier alternatives to prevent these issues such as alkaline water, plant based protein and natural sweeteners. Revamping our diet can have many positive effects on our body and mind.
