The term superfood can be deceiving and often devoid of facts. Avocados are a great healthy fat food that can help stabilize blood sugar;however, they are high in calories. Fermented foods are full of probiotics but can be hard to digest for people with certain medical conditions. Beets help fight inflammation but are high in carbohydrates. MCT oil is good for cognition but high in fat. The important thing to keep in mind is that no food is perfect and likely has both positive and negative attributes.
